Liberia: Former rebel priest confesses killings

Monrovia, Liberia, 15th January, 2008 - Joshua Milton Blayee, a former general who served as priest to the ULIMO J rebel faction during Liberia’s civil war, has told the Truth and Reconciliation Commission he was responsible for thousands of killings. Testifying on January 15th, Milton Blayee asked forgiveness for the atrocities he committed. Macdonald Metzger of UNMIL Radio was at the hearing that day:
